Town, along with Coventry City are reportedly keen on signing released Fulham defender Carlos Bocanegra.
The 29-year-old American defender has been released by Fulham after 4 years at Craven Cottage where he made more then 100 appearances, mostly in defence but with the odd appearance from midfield.
He has 53 caps for the United States and is thought have offers to return to the States to play in MLS.
Elsewhere Town are once again being linked with Leicester defender Gareth McAuley, Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford who scored 20 goals in 47 games for Leeds last season has also been linked with Town, Norwich, QPR and Reading but he is contracted to Leeds until 2010.

and early on last season got Leeds their 15 points back with his goals, he also secured Scunny's championship winning season the year before, I think he has given up on Leeds to be honest, his body language tells me that and alot of Leeds fans have had enough anyway.
I think he would fit in lovely at Portman Road and is just the type of striker we need.

I'm unsure about Beckford, He has seemed to "Slack off" a little during games but does create alot of chances for himself. If he can produce this ">Beckford Goal Vs Rotherham on the odd occasion, Bring him in.
