Bowden: No Signings Yet

Town chief executive Derek Bowden says he doesn't expect Town to make any new signings just yet as a lot of the footballing world is enjoying a holiday.

Bowden, who now runs the club after David Sheepshanks stepped down from his role as Chairman earlier in the week says it's a quiet time of year for football so don't expect any signing just yet.

Bowden: "It's a quiet time and early days when it comes to making close season signings.

"It is a strange time of the year with so many football people away on holiday.

"Our ambition remains the same - to gain promotion to the Premier League, and this is what we will all be working towards in the months ahead."

its all well saying that mr bowden but i know there is alot of pre-season speculation of player signing, but we don't seem to be in with a shout even. remember the early bird gets the worm.
