Paterson Linked Again

Town have once again been linked with a move for Scunthorpe United striker Martin Paterson after reportedly ending their interest in former Manchester City striker Emile Mpenza.

The 21-year-old striker was the subject of a £850,000 bid from Norwich but it was rejected by The Iron as were two bids from Burnley believed to worth £400,000 and £550,000 earlier this month. Paterson scored 13 goals in 35 appearances for Scunthorpe last season and last month he had a transfer request rejected by Scunthorpe.

Elsewhere reported Town target Richard Wright is being linked with a move to Southampton where he was on-loan last season.
