Preston North End Chairman Derek Shaw says his club have received no bids for their goalkeeper Andy Lonergan despite reports saying they have rejected three bids from Town.
Town have reportedly made three bids for the 24-year-old ‘keeper has played 72 games for Preston but Preston say they will not sell.
Preston chairman Derek Shaw: "Contrary to speculation in the media, we haven't had three bids from Ipswich for Andy Lonergan.
"I received a phone call from Ipswich Town last week, but we didn't even get to the stage of talking about money - I told them that Andy Lonergan was not for sale.
"It was a very brief phone call, and it ended at that. Where the talk of three bids and seven-figure sums has come from, I don't know.
"There's no way we would be willing to sell him and the matter is closed as far as I'm concerned."
