Jim: No Offers For Jon

Town manager Jim Magilton says Town have received no offers for Jon Walters and there is no need to sell him.

Reports in one of this mornings tabloid newspapers suggested Town had to sell Walters to balance the books but Jim says that's not true and Town have had no offers for Walters.

Jim: "We haven't had an offer - I'm not surprised that people like Jon would be of interest to other clubs but at the end of the day we don't want to sell our best players, thankfully we're in a position now where we don't have to sell. We're trying to get to the next level and we don't want to sell anybody.

"We want to keep the nucleus of this side together because we feel that we've got a chance."

"He's had a meteoric rise but he's only had really one full season at our club, he is one of our players that we feel can take us to the next level so we don't want to sell him."
