Al-Habsi Linked

Town are amongst a trio of clubs wanting to sign Bolton goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi, according to his agent.

The 26-year-old Oman international ‘keeper made 16 appearances for Bolton last season as they survived relegation but because he has not been offered a contract extension he is looking to leave the Reebok Stadium and his agent Peter Harrison says he has three potential suitors. Harrison: "Ali helped to save Bolton from relegation. He only has a year left on his contract, but we have had no offer of a new deal from Bolton. "Galatasaray are very interested in Ali and he could sign a pre-contract with them in January - and that's a fact. West Brom and Ipswich are also interested.'' 

Despite just 16 appearances for Bolton Al-Habsi has made 66 appearances for his nation, been named ‘keeper of the tournament in three Gulf Cups which is more then any other ‘keeper and he was named the 2004 ‘keeper of the year in Norway while playing for Lynn.
