Town and Portsmouth are both reportedly keen on signing former Manchester United and Bolton Wanderers midfielder Quinton Fortune.

The 31-year-old is a free agent after taking a year out from football to recover from injuries which restricted him to just a handful of appearances during his one season at Bolton.

Before his unsuccessful spell at Bolton he spent 7 years at Manchester United where he made 126 appearances scoring 10 times. He is primarily a left sided midfielder but can play at left back or centre midfield.

He has 53 caps for South Africa and has also been linked with Blackburn and Sunderland this summer.

Definitely not Fortune. Skacel is the man for me and even if they say that Fortune favours the brave it would be bordering on the foolhardy to take him one with his injury prone track-record.
