Town are being linked with a move for Celtic's Guinea international defender Bob Balde who has been told he can leave the Bhoys on a free transfer.

The 32-year-old defender has been told he has no future at Celtic and is allowed to leave on a free a transfer, Wolverhampton Wanderers were interested in him but his wages are reported to be nearly £30,000 a week put them off.

Birmingham City have also been linked with the defender and could be able to match any financial package thanks to a large parachute payment. The deal currently be touted for Bobo is a large signing on fee and a reasonable length contract on reduced wages.
