Wright Eyeing Shut Out

Town goalkeeper Richard Wright says he is hoping to keep Shane Supple out of the Town side next season.

Wright was kept on the subs bench at West Ham for nearly all of last season thanks to the form shown by Rob Green but this year he is hoping to do keep Supple on the bench.

Wright: "I know the quality that Shane has, and I expect him to put similar pressure on me this season.

"Over the coming weeks and months I know that Shane will keep me on my toes. And I will have to react the same way that Robert did at West Ham. Competition for places can only be good for the football club.

"I am certainly not taking the number one jersey for granted with Shane pushing me hard."

shouldnt be too hard Supple isnt in the same leagie as Wright

with supple being a few years younger than wright, thats on his side, wrighty slipped up in a friendly so he's fallabe just like any other keeper, just wish supple was given more of a chance and experience, but with whats at stake that won't happen
