Town booked their place in the 2nd round of the Carling Cup with a 4-1 against Leyton Orient at Portman Road last night.
Town only ever looked in any kind of danger of losing the game once in the entire evening, that was when Danny Granville had a header cleared off the line just minutes before Town took the lead.
Danny Haynes scored Town's first of the evening when he out paced the Orient defence before firing the ball into the net, somehow squeezing between the O's ‘keeper and his near post. Tommy Miller made it 2-0 just 2 minutes later when he fired home from the edge of the box.
Haynes added a third just before half time when he latched onto the end of a Lee cross and fired home.
Lee added Town's fourth 3 minutes into the 2nd half when he headed home a Alan Quinn cross. Adam Boyd got a goal back for the visitors when he made the most of a poor back pass to lob the ball over Shane Supple.
