Cardiff City Chairman Peter Ridsdale says his side will not be selling Town target Roger Johnson this summer as the club has no need to.

Cardiff have made £7.5 million from player sales this summer so they will not need to sell either Roger Johnson, who has been linked with Town or Joe Ledley who has been linked with Premiership sides.

Ridsdale: "I have made it clear the two lads won't be leaving.

"Happily, we're in a position where we don't need to snatch at money for any of our players.

"We got the best price available for Aaron. Glenn was out of contract next summer and wouldn't talk about a new deal, so in his case it was take the cash now or end up with nothing."
