Report: Sheff W 0-0 Town

September 20 2008

Town had to settle for a point against Brian Laws' Sheffield Wednesday earlier today, despite both teams creating chances it ended goalless.

Wednesday started brightly and hit the bar as early as 8 minutes after Marcus Tudgay beat the Town defence and Richard Wright.

The second half was mostly Town's with David Norris looking like the most likely source of a goal, his shot being pushed onto the bar by Lee Grant in the Wednesday goal and another being stopped by Grants head.

Sheffield Wednesday: Grant; McMahon (Jeffers 83), Wood, Spurr, Gilbert; McAllister, O'Connor, Watson, Esajas (Burton 60); Johnson (Small 79), Tudgay.
Substitutes: Smith, Clarke.

Ipswich Town: R Wright, Volz, McAuley, Naylor, D Wright; Norris, Garvan, Shumulikoski, Quinn; Walters, Stead (Lisbie 68).
Substitutes: Supple, Campo, Miller, Haynes.

Referee: Mr M Jones (Cheshire)

when is jim going to learn and keep a settled side, think his time is nearly up, bring in a gaffer who has a clue what to do, experimenting with the side in the league is mad (thats what we had the pre-season friendlys for), m. evans won't stand it for much more, jim should and will be gone at end of month if don't win next game
