Bowden Staying Positive

Town chief executive Derek Bowden is remaining positive and urging Town fans to be patient with Town manager Jim Magilton.

Some Town fans are starting to feel Town have gone backwards this season under Jim's management, but Derek disagrees with that view and says Town will be turning the results around soon.

Bowden: "I don't think it is a decline, it is a very tight league. We are not far off a play-off position, equally we are not far off a bottom three place too.

"There has been a steady improvement in the past few games and Jim is busily honing down his optimum squad of 16 and starting XI.

"We have more choice this year whereas last year the team almost picked itself with senior pros and a few youngsters coming through. Having more choices brings its own problems and I know because I speak to Jim about it every day that he is honing down his favoured XI.

"I don't think it is going to take that much longer but clearly we would ask supporters to be patient. We have seen improvement and I feel there will be continued improvement but it is still work in progress."
