Report: Town 1-1 Charlton

Town once again managed to snatch a draw from the jaws of a win, letting an average Charlton side leave Portman Road with a point earlier tonight.
Town made one change from the win against Plymouth, Jon Stead coming in for the suspended David Norris as Town played a 4-4-2 with Stead and Lisbie upfront.
Town created plenty of chances in the opening exchanges, Jon Stead fired over the bar, Lisbie fired wide as did Jon Walters.
Lloyd Sam was denied by Richard Wright at his near post for Charlton as the visitors looked lacking up front.
Owen Garvan got his 3rd goal in two games when his free-kick from 35-yards was whipped in, evading everyone in the box and going in at the far post. Garvan came close to a second soon after as Town turned on the style with some free-flowing football which Charlton had no answer too.
Veliche Sumulikoski had a go from 30-yards but Nicky Weaver in the Charlton goal pushed the low shot out for a corner.
Pablo Counago was introduced mid-way through the second half in place of Jon Stead and the Spanish striker had the chance to wrap up all three points for Town when referee Kevin Wright awarded Town a penalty after Kelly Youga had handled in the box. Pablo stepped up to take the spot kick in the absence of Tommy Miller, the kick lacked real power and wasn't close enough to corner and Weaver was able to parry it out.
Town still looked the better side but Charlton snuck a goal in the 80th minute, Naylor and Volz were unable to move quickly enough to block Nick Bailey's shot which found the back of the net.
