Derek In Bruce Talks

Town's Chief Executive Derek Bowden held talks with Alex Bruce's agent today regarding the possibility of extending his stay at Portman Road.

Bruce is out of contract in the summer and could speak to clubs in January so Town are trying to get him into a new deal sooner rather then later.

Bowden: "There are conversions which are ongoing. I'm seeing his agent at 12 o'clock today. Things are progressing and we may say something about it later today,

"But we're not in a great hurry, we've got two months before January when Alex can talk to other clubs. We're hopeful he'll sign a new contract."
