Reports in one of this mornings tabloid newspapers are suggesting that former Town defender Hermann Hreidarsson could be coming back to Town.
The 34-year-old Icelandic defender left Town March 2003, joining Charlton in a deal that become worth £900,000, before heading for The Valley Hermann had made more then 100 appearances for Town. He left Charlton following their relegation from the Premiership, moving to Portsmouth where he won the FA Cup last season.
During his time at Charlton he made 127 appearances, at Portsmouth he has so far made 35. Hermann is also being linked with return to Charlton and a move to West Brom, who tried to sign him from Town in the summer of 2002.
Only a matter of time before he was linked but can't see it personally. Got Volz, Wright, Thatcher, Balkestein, Bruce...Do we really need another Full Back!!
yes i think we do, for starters he's a better left back than thatcher, and he can play there very well, mind you like some of the signings jim has made he would play him somewhere else

Another area Magilton is looking to add to is in defence and FA Cup winner Hreidarsson is out of contract with Portsmouth at the end of the season and has already been linked with Town, Charlton, West Brom.
But at 34 year's of age the Icelander would have to convince Magilton he is not just looking for a cushy run in towards retirement.
Magilton said: “Hermann is a terrific pro and a tremendous character. He was outstanding for us and someone who could help and use his quality around the football club but first I would need to know he is not thinking of retiring.”
