Norris Explains Celebration

Town midfielder David Norris has explained his goal celebration against Blackpool as a private message and not a handcuff sign as some have suggested.

Norris celebrated his goal against Blackpool on Saturday by raising his arms and crossing his wrists, in what some interpreted as a handcuff sign for his friend, former Plymouth Argyle goalkeeper Luke McCormick who is currently in jail for causing death by dangerous driving.

Norris: "It wasn't a handcuff sign, it was a private message.

"But I can see how people might have seen it like that and I apologise wholeheartedly if it has caused any offence. Luke's a good friend of mine. But he made a massive mistake and he is rightly paying the price for it."
