Preview: Town – Cardiff

Town will be looking to leapfrog tomorrow's opponents, Cardiff City with all three points at Portman Road.

Town will be missing Alex Bruce who is starting his four game suspension. David Norris and Moritz Volz are doubts with dead legs.

Town manager Jim Magilton: "I couldn't speak too highly of the players on Wednesday night, we played with a lot of endeavour, pressed the opposition and showed a great work ethic - and all that after getting the worst possible start and going a goal down in the first five minutes.

"The players never faltered, though, and we could have been level long before Jon Walters scored early in the second-half. Their 'keeper made three or four outstanding saves, but we kept passing the ball, kept creating chances, and ended up with three goals in the space of 10 minutes.

"The challenge to the players now is to build on Wednesday's win and repeat the same sort of level of performance against Cardiff.

"They are a well organised side under Dave Jones and they have players who can hurt you. Their top scorer Ross McCormack will be missing and that's good news for us because he's been in great form for them this season. They have some very good players there though, the likes of Jay Bothroyd and Michael Chopra have proved they can score goals.

"They are right in the mix for the Play-Off places and it will be a big challenge for us and a massive test of our credentials."

Cardiff will be without Ross McCormack who has a hamstring injury, Peter Whittingham is out with ankle injury. Jay Bothroyd should be back after a knee injury and Stephen McPhail is back from a ban.
