Civelli Signs

Town have confirmed the signing of Argentine midfielder Luciano Civelli from Club Atletico Banfield for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old has signed a contract that will keep him at Town until the summer of 2012.

Town manager Jim Magilton: "We are delighted to have Luciano at the Club.

"We had him watched several times in Argentina with Simon Hunt, Steve McCall and Charlie Woods all having a close look at him.

"We feel he has all the attributes to be a success at this Club. He's a naturally left sided player who wanted to come to England and test himself.

"He will add to the competition for places here and if he makes the same sort of impact as the last player the Club got from Argentina - Mauricio Taricco - we will have done okay!

"He has not played for a few weeks because of the break in Argentina but we will get an idea of his fitness levels tomorrow and take it from there."

Width was one thing you appeared to lack, just hope hes not a typical cheating Argentinian git like most of them seem to be !
