Town manager Jim Magilton says Richard Naylor has been a model pro during his 15-year spell at Portman Road which ended today.

The 31-year-old defender made his loan spell at Leeds permanent earlier today, signing a 2 and a half year deal.

Jim: "Bam Bam has been a wonderful servant for Ipswich Town, I made him club skipper here at the start of the season because of the respect he has around the place and in his time here he has been a first class professional.

"He went to Leeds on loan because he wanted to be playing games and going back to his hometown and playing for the club he supported as a boy was obviously a big attraction for him.

"He would have been out of contract here in the summer and Leeds made it clear they wanted him on a permanent deal so he joins them with us wishing him every success for the future."
