Rhodes Eyeing Town Stay

Town youngster Jordan Rhodes says he hopes his good form during his loan spell at Brentford will be enough to get him in the Town first team.

Rhodes has scored 5 goals in 5 games for the League Two side, including a hat-trick against Shrewsbury, but he says all the goals he scores while out on-loan are only to improve his Town chances.

Jordan: "I am scoring goals for Brentford so that I can play for Ipswich Town.

"I am doing it for Ipswich and to show what I can do.

"Playing for Brentford at the top of the league is much better for me than playing reserve football at Ipswich, and I am grateful for Mr Magilton to allow me to go on loan.

"I am buzzing at the moment, but my priority remains with Ipswich Town and to win a first team place at Portman Road."

Have to agree SirBob, let him finish his loan spell then pull him back here for the rest of the season, see how he copes in the first team.
