Town To Appoint Figurehead?

Reports in the press are suggesting that Town will appoint former British Olympic Association chief executive Simon Clegg for a figurehead role of some kind at Town.

It is believed that Town owner Marcus Evans has held talks with the former army major about the possibility of taking up some kind of role at Town, most likely becoming the public face of the club as David Sheepshanks was for a short time after Marcus Evans' take over of the club.

Clegg stepped down from the British Olympic Association in December, ending his relationship with the association that saw him as part of the British team in one way or another for 12 Olympic Games.
