A Goal from Connor Wickham couldn't have been enough as the Ipswich academy went down 2-1 against the evil ones!
Norwich began the better of the two teams, as they went close to scoring twice within two minutes during the opening minutes while Ipswich had to battle the poor weather conditions.
This contiuned until Ipswich's first attack of the game on 11 minutes. Wickham had played in his strike partner however his shot was smothered by the Norwich Keeper. However despite this Norwich continued pulverising Ipswich until the 16th minute when Alex Stephens scored.
The goal came when the ball came to the Norwich right-back, who crossed to the back post for an unmarked Alex to score with a header into the far corner. However Norwich continued their dominance against Town when they doubled the lead 15 minutes later. Canaries midfielder Smith recieved the ball 30 yards from goal when Town conceded a throw-in and threaded an inch perfect pass through the heart of what was left of Ipswich's defence for a certain Nick Davey to latch onto. He took one pass before placing the ball past the Town keeper.
Once again Norwich began destroying what was left of Ipswich's defence but they held on until half-time. The Blues then jumped into life after half-time, with Wickham providing the lead for a magical comeback - even scoring a goal when Wickham pounced on a ball from the midfield and smashed his ball with a half-volley, however despite Connor's goal a come-back was one that wasn't to come. However even the Blues new found life was to be found to be short lived as Norwich soon reached back into their thists pocket and began to thump Ipswich's defence with every last word. They continued their search for a third goal with players like Brindly and Dawkin being the header for it.
However the Blues best effort was nearly a goal when Connor Wickham beat his man on the right-hand side but saw his shot miss the goal completly.
