Town claimed their first point of the new season with a 0-0 draw against Leicester City at Portman Road this afternoon.

Leicester started the better with Town taking a full 30 minutes to do anything of note, Jon Walters being denied by Chris Weale in the Leicester goal.

Leicester came close through former Town defender Wayne Brown and Steve Howard before half time.

Town manager Roy Keane reacted to Town's lack of bite in the final third at half time with Connor Wickham and Tamas Priskin coming on for Jon Stead and Colin Healy.

Although Keane had stated his intent to score, it never happened but Jon Walters and Connor Wickham did create some good chances.
