Report: Town 1-3 Palace

By Aston
August 18 2009

Crystal Palace left Portman Road with all three points virtually unopposed earlier this evening.

Two goals from Darren Ambrose with two minutes of each other just after half time were followed by Alex Bruce's goal for Town which gave us hope which was soon extinguished by Neil Danns.

Honestly, I am not going to waste your time or mine writing much more then that.

Town: R. Wright, Bruce, McAuley, Balkestein, Delaney, Walters, Healy (Garvan 51), Trotter, Martin (Quinn 71), Wickham, Priskin (Stead 51).
Subs not used: Supple, D. Wright, Colback, Smith.

Palace: Speroni, Butterfield, McCarthy, Fonte, Hill, N'Diaye, Derry, Danns, Ambrose, Lee, Sears. Subs not used: Flahavan, Clyne, Carle, Moses, Scannell, Lawrence, Ertl.
Booked: Hill.
Attendance: 20,348

1 point from 9 is pathetic, to say we have'nt even played anybody 'decent' yet. Expect a pasting on Saturday.
(it does'nt help when in pre season games we play Irish teams, we need testing against bigger sides)

I feel a drubbing coming on Saturday!

Did say yesterday we had to play Quinn and Garvan!

So now everyones had a game (and have presumably had their chance to shine) can we please play our best 11 and produce the goods!

Why not a completely new 11?

Don't think we have the money we were lead to believe was there so will have to make do.
