No Palace Move For Stead

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has ruled out a move for Town striker Jon Stead, simply because he would cost too much.

The 26-year-old striker is reportedly one of the players Roy Keane has said can leave Portman Road with Palace being one reported possibility, but it appears that is not the case.

Palace boss Neil Warnock said: "We can't afford Jon Stead. I don't think we will be doing anything this week but we are still on lookout for a striker with [Stern] John out until the end of October."

Think he still has a part to play - leading scorer last year remember!

I think talk of him leaving was rubbish made up by the local paper anyway.
