Ipswich face Blackpool on 2nd Jan 2010 In a game that the only thing certain is its going to be cold.

Ipswich are away to Blackpool in R3.

Ipswich have started to pick up in the championship after a really bad start. But still are in the bottom 3.

Blackpool have been doing well they are 8th in the table.

The two teams meet before this tie on the 12th Dec at Portman Road.

Though I cannot see many Ipswich fans going to this tie 2nd Jan. A game so soon after christmas so far north. The away stand has no roof and with prices normaly at £27/£28 a ticket maybe us away fans are paying for the roof to go on.

5hithole of a ground (will be nice when its eventually finished though, prob about the year 2050) scandalous prices to get in, can't see why we have to stand in that wooden stand when now they've got the stand behind the goal finished. Freezing cold even in summer, nice 'club' just outside the away end where all the Town fans mingle, see you there!!!

Wonder if we'll play out 1st 11 or put a few Reserves out?

Dave, I know it is! I'm not suggesting we put out a weakened team to ensure our best players are available for league games - I'm just pointing out that not every manager puts out their best 11 in any cup competition. RK has shown in the League cup that he's more than willing to put out a few reserves. At the moment we are in relegation trouble - hopefully by early Jan we won't be - but I'm sure it will be going through RK's mind.

got agree with dave, and i'd put money on a certain young centre forward / ex-town player scoring against us because he's in form, step forward billy clarke

Clarke misses due to injury. RK will surprise me if he doesn't go for this. One of thier better players is on international duty in Africa also so I'm backing us as well.
