Preview: Town – Bristol City

Town take on Bristol City at Portman Road tomorrow afternoon, looking to move further away from the drop zone.

Town could welcome Richard Wright back into the squad following his return from injury, but he is unlikely to displace Brian Murphy in goal. Liam Rosenior is fit again, Town's only certain absentee is Luca Civelli while three Town players did miss training this week.

Town manager Roy Keane: "It's been a difficult run of games, playing the teams around us, a bit of travelling, so it'll be nice to get back to being at home. But there are tough games coming up for us with another one tomorrow.

"We're pleased with taking seven points from the four away games, given the setback we had at Peterborough. There's been a good reaction from the players and the supporters going up to Sheffield and Scunthorpe.

"I suppose if you take seven points from four away games you think you'd be doing all right but we need to kick on. I'm sure people are sick of me saying it, but we need to go on a run of getting victories because we're still down there fighting and we know that if we don't get a result tomorrow and results go against us, we could be back in the bottom three or four.

"We need to kick on now and if we perform like we have done in the last couple of games, we should be OK.

"They had a slightly disappointing run but bounced back with that win over West Brom, they've put in some good performances but maybe not got the results. Sometimes you need a win to kick-start your season again and they will hope that's what the West Brom game will do for them.

"They've got a good manager and good balance in their squad with experienced players like Paul Hartley, who has played for Scotland and Chris Iwelumo and they've got pace up front in Danny and Nicky Maynard so we know we are in for a difficult game."

The visitors could welcome Jamal Campbell-Ryce back into the squad after a calf injury while Evander Sno and Jamie McAllister will miss out.

Bristol City manager Gary Johnson: "We can't focus on the league table at the moment.

"For weeks we've been talking about building runs of two or three games, and in the end you wish your life away.

"We need to go into each game focused solely on winning that match, then afterwards you can assess the situation.

"We don't want to get ourselves carried away with enthusiasm. I hope the players have enjoyed our last few games and now we need to keep that momentum up.

"I am surprised to still see them down there.

"They've got a decent team and the club is a big one. They've only lost two at home and they've drawn more than they would have liked to - just like us.

"It's an important match and Ipswich are a decent Championship side who will be dangerous on the day."
