Keane Has Squad In Mind For Next Year

Town manager Roy Keane says he is 99% sure of the players he wants at Portman Road as part of his squad next year.

Keane: "I have certainly learned a lot about the group here over the last two or three months.

"We have shown we are still capable of shooting ourselves in the foot now and again, like we did at Watford, Peterborough and against Plymouth but we have also shown we can dig in and get results like we did last week against Reading and Derby.

"We have made progress over the last few months, definitely, and I can see the core of the squad now.

"I'm 99 per cent sure of the players that I think can have a good season next year and a few that unfortunately will probably have to leave."

Garvan Pabs and R Wright's positions look perilous of those who didn't take up the offer of loans out.

Trotter, Upson, Stead & Bruce for the chop.

Only real doubt is Priskin!

I'm sure the big question on every Sunderland fan's lips is 'Will he be signing Daryl Murphy?'

I'd think so, provided Roy's still in charge going into next season. This rumour about him and Mr Evans is a worry. I hope he'll be in the seat next season tbh.
