Town After Rochdale’s Dawson

Town are one of three Championship clubs reportedly after Rochdale defender Craig Dawson, who wants to leave the newly promoted League One side.

The 20-year-old was named the League Two player of the year last season is reportedly attracting interest from Town, Middlesbrough and Burnley, with Burnley reportedly leading the chase.

Rochdale rejected an offer of around £400,000 from Middlesbrough back in May and a £250,000 offer from Scunthorpe was also rejected earlier in the year with Rochdale reportedly wanting £1 million for the defender who stands at 6ft 2in.

He joined Rochdale from non-league side Radcliffe Borough last summer and scored 10 goals in 45 games in his first season of league football.
