Walters On Verge Of Stoke Switch?

Town captain Jon Walters is reportedly on the verge of joining Premiership side Stoke City after Town agreed a £3 million fee for the 26-year-old.

Reports last week suggested that Walters was unhappy at Town and had unofficially requested a transfer, something neither the club nor the player denied.

Reports earlier in the summer had suggested Town had rejected a £2.5 million bid from QPR for the midfielder cum striker who joined Town from Chester City for £100,000 in January 2007, since his move from Chester Walters has scored 30 goals in 135 appearances for Town.
