Preview: Exeter – Town

A young Town squad are travelling to Devon today to take on League One side Exeter City in the first round of the Carling Cup.
Town's squad is expected to be made up mainly of youngsters due to the number of injuries to senior players with Carlos Edwards, Mark Kennedy, Luciano Civelli, Connor Wickham, Damien Delaney, Alan Quinn and Gareth McAuley all suffering injuries of some kind whilst Marton Fulop and Tamas Priskin are away with the Hungary national side, But Roy Keane says some of his senior squad will be involved.
Keane: "It's a big test, the younger boys will get a chance. We'll be going with a young squad. Some of the young boys didn't let us down on Saturday and they won't let us down on Tuesday.
"It's a game of football and we want to win it, simple as that. This time last year we went to Shrewsbury and had a really good game against them. We took some young players and the experience stood them well over the season and it's going to be the same at Exeter.
"We want to win the game, but it will be tough but, with the injuries we have, we have to be careful with Saturday's game in mind because we are struggling for numbers. I've never known anything like it.
"Jon Walters, Steady, Tommy Smith, Jaime, Grant, Chuck, Brian Murphy will be in goal for us, but other than that we'll play it by ear."
Possible Town squad: Murphy, Lee-Barrett, Peters, O'Connor, Ainsley, Smith, Brown, Eastman, Hyam, Norris, Leadbitter, Healy, Clark, Walters, Lambe, Stead, Carson, Murray, Griffiths, Cawley, Griffiths, Dunbar.
The home side have a doubt over the fitness of former Town striker Richard Logan, who scored against Colchester at the weekend. Midfielder Steve Tully is also a doubt.
Exeter manager Paul Tisdale: "It's a win-win situation for us against a very good side, at home.
