Town moved up to third in the Championship after a 2-0 win against Bristol City at Portman Road earlier today.
The visitors included Jon Stead in their line up after he joined from Town during the week. Town made three changes to the starting line up from the team that beat Crewe in the Carling Cup in midweek, Jason Scotland, Jaime Peters and Marton Fulop started in place of O'Connor, Brown and Murphy.
Town started brightly and were denied a goal in the 12th minute by a superb save by David James in the Bristol goal, Jason Scotland was muscled out and fouled by three Bristol defenders and awarded a free-kick, David Norris laid the ball off the Leadbitter who flicked it up before volleying it over the wall and either onto the bar or into the top corner only for James to palm it away.
Scotland stabbed wide in the 20th minute after good work from Edwards down the wing, while at the other end Marton Fulop in the Town goal had to be at full stretch to deny Albert Adomah.
Tamas Priskin fired against the bar when forced into a shot under pressure from Bristol defenders and David James.
Stead, wearing the red of Bristol City, called Marton Fulop into action for two easy saves in three minutes.
Neither side made any changes at half-time and the game continued with neither side able to find the net and Town finding the wood work again. Priskin setting up Scotland who fired right on the corner of post and cross bar.
Priskin made it 1-0 in the 58th minute after a defensive mix-up between David James and Liam Fontaine allowed Priskin to get to the lose ball and slide it into the net, beating two Bristol City defenders who were scrambling back.
Pittman fired across goal for the Robins and Jaime Peters cleared off the line for Town before Jason Scotland made it 2-0 in the 74th minute.
James couldn't hold onto a 25-yard shot from Priskin, spilling the ball into the path of Scotland who slide the ball past James into the bottom corner.
