Preview: Town – Portsmouth

Town travel to Portsmouth tomorrow in search of three points that could move them to the top of the Championship table.

Town have a doubt over the fitness of Darren O'Dea and Shane O'Connor, Damien Delaney is fit again but lacking match fitness, Andros Townsend is serving the final game of his suspension, Mark Kennedy and Alan Quinn are out for Town.

Town manager Roy Keane: "They have certainly had a difficult time - like a lot of clubs - particularly with the financial side and then getting relegated, they got to the FA Cup Final last season though so they've had their ups as well as their downs.

"For any team that comes down from the Premier League, it sometimes takes a while to adapt so don't take any notice of the table at this stage of the season.

"They have a new manager and it will take time for them to get going but they have good players and that helps. They have players with Premier League experience. They are a physically strong side and we know we will be in for a very difficult game.

"They have great support behind them. Whatever the problems they have there, their fans really get behind the team and create a great atmosphere down there.

"It will be the same on Saturday so we know we are in for a tough game. We will have to be at our best and even then we know it will be very difficult.

"There is a good feeling in our group though and I know we will go down there and have a right go."

Portsmouth have signed Kanu and Ricardo Rocha in time for tomorrows game whilst clearance for Liam Lawrence has not come through as yet, but if it arrives at any time before 12 tomorrow he will be able to face Town.

Former Town defender Hermann Hreidarsson will miss the game through injury, as will striker Danny Webber.
