Town travel to Hull tomorrow looking to return to winning ways after two straight defeats in the league.

Town will be fielding a young side against Hull because of a number of injuries to key first team players such as David Norris, Gareth McAuley, Darren O'Dea and Mark Kennedy while Luke Hyam is out but he is expected to be replaced by Grant Leadbitter, who is back from a suspension.

Town manager Roy Keane: "We had a young team that started against Barnsley and an even younger one that finished, with four kids that were playing in the youth team last season, then we've got the likes of Jack Colback, Jake Livermore and Andros Townsend out there and these boys are learning their trade.

"It's hard enough for these boys but even harder when you have not got experienced players around you.

"I've been saying for ages that the challenge will come when we pick up injuries and suspensions and we didn't deal with that challenge very well last week. We will try and deal with it a lot better at Hull. We certainly have to be better than against Barnsley, especially in terms of giving away bad goals.

"We are where we are but likes all teams in this league, we are striving for that consistency, certainly when you have young players you are going to get inconsistency - not that fans want to hear that - and you are going to get games likes last week where you are left scratching your head.

"There are kids here though that are going to be good players for Ipswich Town. They will get their rewards but we have to be patient.

"They are good, honest players and we will go to Hull and give it a real go. It won't be easy of course. They have a lot of experienced players and go into the game on the back of a good result last week but we will be ready for the challenge. We will be fine, don't worry about that."

Hull will be missing Craig Fagan, Jimmy Bullard and Caleb Folan while former Town loanee Liam Rosenior and Daniel Ayala are doubts.
