McParland: We Deserved That

Town caretaker manager Charlie McParland says the Town players fully deserved their 1-0 victory over Premiership Arsenal at Portman Road last night.
Tamas Priskin's goal in the 78th minute was enough to give Town a 1-0 lead going into the second leg of the Carling Cup semi-final later this month.
McParland: "The players were fantastic and deserved the win, they showed great character to come back after Sunday's defeat and I'm proud of every one of them.
"The work rate was immense and the formation worked well for us with Mark Kennedy in midfield and the two lads around him, Colin Healy and David Norris.
"I was watching all the coverage in the build up to the game and it was a bit disrespectful really. We weren't given a hope. Arsenal were already at Wembley if you believe what was being said so we used that as motivation and the players have given themselves a chance now and they deserve that.
"The supporters were fantastic for us as well and it was nice to put a smile on their faces."
