Ipswich Town make the long trip to Crewe tomorrow hopping to extend their lead over Wigan at the top of the Championship.

Town have a clean bill of health, Tommy Miller has declared himself fit from an elbow injury and Kelvin Davis is over a dead leg which forced him to miss two days training.

Town manager Joe Royle: “They will be waiting for us. Dario will be rubbing his hands. He is a football man so there will be no histrionics on the sideline with him trying to influence the officials.

“It will be a good game between two sides who believe in passing the ball. They won't be looking for a draw. They will be respectful of our goal-scoring record but they will try and beat us at home. It certainly won't be a 6-4.

“They play their own way and the two front players look good. Dean Ashton looks tidy while Steve Jones is a quick player.

“Fair play to them, they run a tight ship and are doing very well.”

Crewe boss Dario Gradi has a couple of doubts ahead of tomorrows game, Anthony Tonkin and Billy Jones. Mark Roberts is ruled out with a knee injury while David Vaughan is back in the squad, sadly the leagues leading goal scorer Dean Ashton is fit and able to play.

Other games of interest to Town fans taking place tomorrow are Wigan Vs Preston and Sunderland Vs West ham.
