Ipswich Town captain Jim Magilton has praised the way that Town midfielder Darren Currie has started his Town career.

Ipswich Town captain Jim Magilton has praised the way that Town midfielder Darren Currie has started his Town career.

Darren joined Town last week from Brighton making his debut as a second half substitute and scoring Towns 3rd goal on route to a 4-2 win and Magilton could not be more pleased.

Magilton: “Darren's arrival gives us some options in midfield now which we need and he has settled in really well, he is someone that has always impressed me when I have seen him play. He likes the ball to his feet, his comfortable on either side and the big thing I like about him is that he has a lot of self-belief.

“It may have surprised people when it was banded about that he was coming here and I think Darren was more surprised than anyone but he has always held that confidence that he could operate at a much higher level than he has done and now he has the chance to prove it and I'm sure he will.”
