Reaction from Ipswich Town midfielder Jim Magilton after tonight’s 2-1 victory over Wigan which saw Town move to the top the league.

Jim:“An epic game and tremendous team spirit. The whole squad dug really deep. Wigan are well worth their place up there; the game set a great example for the Championship. It was a massive win for us.

“Unfortunately they don't hand out prizes at Christmas and we've still got a long way to go. People were asked to do jobs tonight and they did them wholeheartedly.

“Unfair to name names in that performance but Bam Bam and Jason in central defence were magnificent as was Kelvin. Darren Currie - what can you say? You've got to give the gaffer credit for getting him. Shefki put in another outstanding performance - but it really was an all round team performance.”
