Ipswich Town have the chance to extended their lead at the top of the Championship table to five points if they can beat Millwall on boxing day.

Town manager Joe Royle welcomes Kevin Horlock back into the squad after he missed Tuesday nights 2-1 win over Wigan because of suspension and its not clear who if any one he will start in place of but many believe that Ian Westlake will drop to the bench. Drissa Diallo is still out with a hamstring injury.

Joe Royle has said: “It's a hard environment at Millwall, a harsh environment and they like to keep it that way, they can certainly play though. They have dangerous front players in people like Scott Dobie and Danny Dichio and have a number of good young players as well.

“On their day, Millwall are certainly one of the better teams in this division and it's going to be a tricky game for us.”

Millwall player manager Dennis Wise has a full squad to choose from for the first time this season, Kevin Muscat is back for the lions after serving a three game suspension, former Town goalkeeper Andy Marshall looks set to continue in goal for team that was involved in Town’s last 0-0 score line over a year ago.

Millwall manager Wise has said: “We've just taken seven points from our last three games, including two difficult away trips to Wolves and Leeds, and now we face two equally tough tests against Ipswich and Derby, who are both right up there at the business end of the table.

“The players have shown a bit of character to turn things round after that very disappointing run of three consecutive defeats, and I'm hoping that with a big crowd in here today we can get the lift we need to earn three points against a very good Ipswich side.”
