Ipswich Town legend Roger Osborne has hailed Ipswich Town captain Jim Magilton as a “huge influence on the team”.

Osborne, who as you all know scored the winning goal in the 1978 FA Cup final win over Arsenal, has said: “Jim Magilton has a huge influence on the team, he is their playmaker and, if I played now, I would be told to mark him.

“With his experience, and by having young players around him, he makes Ipswich tick.

“A fresh Jim Magilton is one of the most influential players in the Championship. I think he is really critical to the success of Ipswich.”
