Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle believes Town striker Pablo Couñago could be a good signing for teams in the lower half of the premiership.

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle believes Town striker Pablo Couñago could be a good signing for teams in the lower half of the premiership.

Couñago who has admitted he will have to leave Portman Road to further his career has been handed a boost by Royle saying that he would look at Pablo if he was manager at a lower premier league side.

Royle: “If I was at a lower Premiership club, and looking for a third or fourth striker, I would consider Pablo.

“When he's at his best he's a handful. I appreciate his talents and it's nothing personal. It's about the team and the team is everything.”

Now this begs the question, if Royle would be looking at Pablo as striker for the premier league why is he on the bench or possibly even left out of the squad for a team in the championship?
