Ipswich Town captain Jim Magilton has hailed Town goalkeeper Kelvin Davis as “good if not better than any goalkeeper I have worked with throughout my career”

Magilton has said: “Kelvin is as good if not better than any goalkeeper I have worked with throughout my career, I've worked with the likes of Bruce Grobbelaar at Liverpool and Tim Flowers and Dave Beasant at Southampton, who both played for England, so that's how highly I rate our 'keeper.

“He has proved to be a magnificent signing by the gaffer since he joined us from Wimbledon two years ago and I would go as far as to say that he's up there as one of the best transfer buys I have seen at Ipswich Town or any of the other clubs I have been at.

“He's a goalkeeper that I feel has always been underrated in his career but he has shown his value to us since he first walked through the door at Portman Road and he can only go on and improve from here as well.”
