Ipswich Town striker Shefki Kuqi is likely to be out of action for a month after picking up an injury in Towns game against Leicester today.

The Finn had to be carried off on a stretcher after sustaining a large stud cut in the area just above one of his knee just before half time and is will be in hospital tonight to have the wound cleaned.

Town manager Joe Royle: “It's a blow because Shefki is our leading scorer and gives us something different up front with his physical presence and work rate, he will be out of action for three to four weeks but we just have to get on with it.

“We have Dean Bowditch and Pablo Couñago who can come in and do a good job for us

but it's possible that we might have to look around as well.”
