Ipswich Town defender Jason De Vos has hailed the influence Town midfielder Jim Magilton has on the team.

De Vos who stood in as Town captain for the first half of Towns game against Preston on Friday night believes that Jim coming on at half time earned Town a point.

De Vos: “Jim makes us tick and after the interval we were able to get our full-backs more into the game.

“This was down to Jim who made a big difference and it was a great substitution. He helped to win us a point that was very important to us and he can help us collect a lot more in the coming weeks.”
