Reaction from Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle following Town’s 2-1 defeat at the hands of Watford yesterday.

Royle: “We missed enough chances to have won two or three games but that's football and we have to get on with it, Tommy could have had a hat-trick and Benty on another day would have had four or five.

“We're disappointed obviously and we gave away two poor goals but overall we played well enough, the luck just wasn't with us.

“We're not getting carried away with the defeat, we probably played better tonight than we have done over the past few games but we're still top of the Championship with everything to play for.

“They had three chances and scored two goals and I wasn't happy with the second one in particular. We have a big defence and shouldn't be conceding goals like that in the air.

“All credit to Watford though they came with a game plan, put five across midfield and made it difficult for us. That said, we did enough to have won the game.”
