Lewington Backs Town
Watford manager Ray Lewington is backing either Town or Sunderland to finish as the top two in the championship.
Speaking after seeing his team beat Town last night and end the run of games where the hornets gathered a respectable 4 points from the top 3, Lewington said: “I have watched Sunderland three or four times because of the way the fixtures have worked out and they are very strong.
“We were lucky to get away with conceding just four up at the Stadium of Light. We also played Wigan at the JJB and did well up there.
“They were below their best but we were well worth a point on the day and obviously we have done well at Ipswich.
“Of all the teams in the Championship, Ipswich are probably the one most likely to cut you apart with their passing and if I had to pick two out of three I would probably go for Sunderland and Ipswich but you can't rule out Wigan at all.”
