Shefki Keen To Play
Ipswich Town striker Shefki Kuqi cannot wait to start playing again and admits he is having a hard time being a spectator at Town games.
Kuqi was given the green light to step up his work in training earlier this week and could be able to play against Nottingham forest a week on Saturday but in the mean time he is going to be stuck in the company of fitness coach Simon Thadani and Club physio Dave Williams, bet their enjoying this!
Shefki: “I have been giving them a hard time because I am so keen to get out there and help the lads, things are improving all the time and I know I'm a quick healer but it's the first time I've had an injury like this and I know it has to be properly healed inside before I can start playing again.
“I feel I am ready to go and do this and do that but these guys know their job and I have to be guided by what they say.
“It's been a very frustrating time for me though. I'm not a good watcher and have found it very difficult sitting up in the stands.
“The worst thing is match day itself. I know what the routine of the players will be, their preparation but when you are injured and not playing, you have no routine yourself.
“The injury came at a bad time for me personally as well. I was scoring goals and felt good but these things happen in football and you have to deal with it.
“Now I just want to get out there and do my bit to help the team win promotion but I can only do that when the experts tell me I'm ready.”
