Former Ipswich Town player and coach Bryan Hamilton is backing Town to win promotion to the premiership.

Hamilton was part of the backroom staff at Town when we got relegated in 2002 and was sacked soon after, three years later he believes Town will be going up and hopes Wigan will join them.

Hamilton: “Ipswich and Wigan play each other this week but I think by the end of the season it will be Ipswich and one other going up to the Premiership, Joe has done a fantastic job this season and I think Ipswich will just make it.

“Tradition says it should be Sunderland for the other guaranteed place because of the size of the club and the support but Wigan have got a bit of money behind them and if they make it, there's the added romance.”
