Reaction from Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle after Town’s 1-0 defeat against Wigan athletic earlier today.

Royle: “We have always outscored sides rather than grind out wins and when we stop scoring goals we are obviously going to have a problem.

“We never really created anything going forward and I can hardly think of a shot at goal we had.

“That's three defeats on the trot and obviously we need to put that right but one of those games we should have won by four or five and the Wigan match we have lost to a penalty that shouldn't have been given.

“Darren Bent is struggling at the moment for his form and confidence and is a shadow of the player we know he is and we have to nurse him back to health.

“But we have to pick ourselves up right across the board and get back to what we have been doing for virtually all of this season - playing good football, creating chances and wining games.”
